Arkansas
Crater of Diamonds State ParkCrater of Diamonds State Park is a 911-acre Arkansas state park in Pike County, Arkansas. The park features a 37.5-acre plowed field, one of the few diamond-bearing sites accessible to the public. Amenities include walking trails, picnic sites, 47 Class AAA campsites (50 Amp/30 Amp/Water/Sewer), 5 walk-in tent sites, a gift shop, and seasonal water park.

Cossatot River State Park - Natural AreaCamping areas extends for 12 miles along the National Wild and Scenic Cossatot River and offers picnic sites, restrooms, and river access. Tent sites (no hookups) are located at the Cossatot Falls Area (six sites), Sandbar Area (15 sites), and Ed Banks Area (two sites). A primitive (no water or electricity) group camping area with tent sites, pavilion, restroom, fire pit, grill, and river access is available by reservation at River Ridge Group Camp. Hikers can enjoy four scenic trails spanning nearly 20 miles. The visitor center features exhibits, a wildlife observation room, meeting room, and gift shop. Interpretive programs are offered year-round.

Colorado
Cheyenne Mountain State ParkIf you're looking to renew your spirit and connect with the outdoors while enjoying the sunny but cool days then you have to check out Cheyenne Mountain State Park located just west of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Enjoy hiking, wildlife viewing, or biking on 28 plus miles of trails. Open year round, the campground includes 51 full service campsites, 10 basic walk-in tent sites, coin operated showers, laundry, a playground and activity room.

Grand Lake KOA (Elk Creek Campground)
Formally, Elk Creek Campground, Grand Lake KOA is located next to the west entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park and is nestled in the beautiful mountain town of Grand Lake, Colorado. The campground offers spacious back-in RV sites, rustic cabins, and tent sites, a general store, 24 hour laundry, a TV lounge and game room.

Junction West Durango Riverside ResortJW Durango Riverside Resort is located along the Animas River in the beautiful San Juan Mountains. Tucked along the river’s edge at the northern end of the Hermosa Valley, the campground is just north of historic downtown Durango and right off the scenic Million Dollar Highway. Amenities include a pool, game room, convenience store, laundry, and cabin rentals.

New Mexico
Angel Fire RV ResortAngel Fire RV Resort is located just on the outskirts of the mountain community of Angel Fire, New Mexico. This RV resort offers a serene and secure setting with state-of-the-art amenities like concierge services and free wifi. Each rv site has panoramic views of the Carson National Forest and the sprawling mountains of northern New Mexico. Amenities include a clubhouse, market, bath house, hot tub, fire pits, laundry, dog park, horseshoe pits, pickleball courts, playground and putting green.

Fawn LakesFawn Lakes Campground is located in Carson National Forest, just west of Red River, New Mexico. It is one of a few campgrounds located along the scenic canyons of Red River. Visitors can enjoy fishing and exploring nearby hiking trails. There are a combination of twenty-two tent and trailer campsites. Some sites include tables, firepits and, vault toilets, however they have no electricity or water hook-ups.

Sante Fe SkiesSanta Fe Skies RV Park is a seventeen acre, family owned and operated RV park located within the city limits of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Fifty five sites are pull-thrus designed to accommodate large motor coaches and travel trailer rigs. All sites are equipped with 20/30/50 amp electrical service. Water and sewer are available at all pull-thru and almost all back-in sites. The park is pet friendly but you must clean up after your pet. Amenities include a laundry facility, walking trails, free wi-fi, propane, restrooms with showers and a dump station.

Texas
Cedar Hill State ParkCedar Hill State Park is located on FM 1382 and the eastern shore of Joe Pool Lake in Cedar Hill, Texas, ten miles southwest of Dallas. Camp at one of 350 developed campsites, all near restrooms with hot showers. All sites have water and electricity; 150 have sewer hookups, too. Several sites are ADA-accessible. Or hike to a primitive campsite, if trails are open. Amenities include a fishing pier, kid pond, kayak rentals, and hiking and biking trails.

Jim HoggJim Hogg Park sits on the north side of Georgetown Lake in the Hill Country of Texas, about 25 miles north of Austin. Jim Hogg Park has 142 reservable campsites, including five large group camping shelters, and convenient amenities like flush toilets and showers. Picnic shelters are also available, allowing for large parties, cookouts and family trips.

Lady Bird JohnsonLady Bird Johnson Municipal Park is located just three miles south of downtown Fredericksburg, Texas, off of Highway 16 South. This beautiful RV Park sits along side Live Oak Creek and features 92 RV Spaces with 30 and 50 amp electrical hook-ups, water, sewer and cable TV. Wireless Internet is provided free of charge. Pets are welcome. They must be on a leash at all times and picked up after immediately.

Lake O' The PinesLake O' the Pines boasts that it is the most beautiful lake in all of East Texas. Not far from Jefferson, Texas, this lake sits on 16,919 acres surrounded by gorgeous pine trees that reach into the sky. Amenities include boat ramps, fishing docks, RV and tent camp sites with electric and water, dump stations, swimming beaches, and playgrounds. Although there are three main camping areas we included the contact information for our favorite, below.

Mineral Wells State ParkLake Mineral Wells State Park & Trailway is located in Mineral Wells, Texas. It includes Lake Mineral Wells, and is the only state park in Texas which protects part of the Western Cross Timbers and Mineral Wells Trailway. Stay at one of their campsites or screened shelters with water and electricity or 20 equestrian campsites. The park amenities include boat ramps, kayak and small boat rentals, fishing, hike and bike trails and rock climbing at Petitionary Hollow.

Oasis RV ResortOasis RV Resort is located on the west side of Amarillo, Texas, just off I-40. All of their RV sites are on level concrete with full hook-ups. Amenities include laundry and shower facilities, a swimming pool, free cable and wi-fi, dog park, cottage rentals, game room, gift shop, and playground.

Palo Duro Canyon State ParkPalo Duro Canyon is a canyon system of the Caprock Escarpment located in the Texas Panhandle near the cities of Amarillo and Canyon. As one of the large canyons in the United States, it is roughly 25–40 mi long and has an average width of 6 mi, but reaches a width of 20 mi at places. The state park offers tent and RV camping sites with water and electricity, hike and bike trails, horseback riding and an amphitheater for the musical drama, Texas.

Ray Roberts State ParkRay Roberts Lake State Park is located near Pilot Point, Texas. There are two main areas of camping which include the Johnson Branch Unit, located closest to Sanger, Texas, and Isle du Bois located closest to Pilot Point, Texas. Both camping areas offer RV and tent sites with electricity and water, fishing piers, swimming beaches and hike/bike trails.

Lake Tawakoni State ParkLake Tawakoni State Park is located 11.2 miles north of Wills Point, Texas, and is on the south central shore of Lake Tawakoni, a 37,879-acre reservoir on the Sabine River. Amenities at Lake Tawakoni State Park include RV sites with full hookups or just water and electricity, a trading post, kayak rentals, hiking and mountain bike trails, and of course fishing.

Twin CovesTwin Coves Park is owned by the city of Flower Mound, Texas, and is located on 243-acres on the north shore of Grapevine Lake. The park boasts 19 furnished cabins and 19 RV slips with full hookups, 3 RV slips with power and water only, in addition to a variety of other amenities including a small craft launch boat ramp, office/camp store, playground, two large pavilions, grass volleyball court, horseshoes and washer game sets, four-hole disc golf course, hike/bike nature trails, kayak rentals, boat launch, and a lake overlook area with a fire pit and seating.

Goose Island State ParkGoose Island State Park is located north of the city of Rockport, Texas, on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. The park covers 321.4 acres and is surrounded by both St. Charles and Aransas Bays. Choose from 44 campsites by the bay or 57 sites nestled under oak trees, all with water and electricity. Every camping loop has restrooms with showers. There is also 25 walk-in tent sites without electricity, and a group camp for youth groups. Make sure you visit the Big Tree and fish from the 1,620 foot long fishing pier.

Utah
Sun Outdoors Canyonlands Gateway
Sun Outdoors Canyonlands Gateway, formerly Archview RV Resort & Campground, is located just on the outskirts of Moab, Utah, and offers the best camping near Arches National Park. You can cozy up to your campfire on cool winter nights or cool off in the outdoor pool and splash pad on summer days. There is an old western church right on the property for a cool photo op, a camp store if you forgot any necessities and laundry facility. The resort offers RV hookups, tent pads and casita rentals. From their location you can hike, bike, or off-road to explore the arches, towers, pinnacles, and dramatic rocks at Arches National Park.
